About Feng Shui

The term "Feng Shui" means "wind-water" and refers to balancing the earthly and heavenly (atmospheric) energies in our inner and outer environments.

Feng Shui is a powerful, effective method of changing your environment to improve your life. Used in the Orient for thousands of years, Feng Shui is now being discovered by thousands of Americans and other Westerners.

Traditional Feng Shui uses two main methods: The Forms Method and the Compass Method. The Forms Method reads the patterns of the landscape to ascertain the best areas to place homes and businesses. The Compass Method emphasizes the cardinal directions of the Earth (South, North, East, West). Compass Method practitioners use a compass (lo-pan) to determine the best orientations of the front door, bed, stove and others.

A New School Of Feng Shui

A new Feng Shui method by Feng Shui Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun of Berkeley, CA. It retains the essence and basic principles of traditional Feng Shui, but differs in three important aspects:

Professor Lin Yun and David Daniel Kennedy

  1. It incorporates new theories of Professor Lin Yun. It emphasizes the Bagua (Sacred Octagon), the Mouth of Ch'i (front door), and "relative positioning" of objects, rather than the Earth directions.
  2. It uses modern scientific knowledge to interpret Feng Shui and advocates both mundane and transcendental solutions to correct one's Feng Shui.
  3. It combines Feng Shui with spiritual studies and folk religions.
Professor Lin's Feng Shui method is both powerful and practical. Here's how it works:

It features Minor Additions, a simple, easy way to add energizing items (such as plants, wind chimes or mirrors) to home areas in need. Minor Additions allows you to make powerful Feng Shui corrections without moving to a new home or doing expensive remodeling.

The Ba-Gua lets you identify 9 important areas of your home which relate directly to you. These include Wealth, Marriage, Career, and others. Using the Ba-Gua, you can find the areas to place your Minor Additions most effectively.

These simple changes (or "cures") can transform the energy (ch'i) of your home, enhancing your peace and harmony. Your life can also benefit - more income, lowered stress, better health and improved relationships are typical reports from those who implement Feng Shui cures.
